He does consider coming up with some sort of excuse of why he can't show up. A mission or some sort. Mostly because social situations are not really his thing. He avoids them at worst and barely tolerates them at the best. This is probably high among the reasons he does not have very many people he'd consider friends. ... Or why others do not usually attempt to interact with him.
