And I know he’s got a massive pile of shit to untangle, but him coming to me complaining that “oh noes Sephiroth got to tortured” when he just wanted to kill you is a level of stupid I just don’t have patience for.
And here I thought you possessed infinite patience.
[That's a joke Zack.]
I thought he might be attempting some sort of trick at first. Because I doubt he truly holds any caring for me.
But it is probably because under all of the self-loathing and despair towards everything is someone who wants to be the hero. But his destructive actions mean he never will be and thus the cycle of hate and poor choices.
I mean, that's what I told him. You can't come to me pretending to care about somebody being tortured when you already threatened to kill that same person.
[ Among other things. He lets out of huff. ]
Yeah, well...I'm done with his issues being my problem. I already tried helping Lark with it, and it went pretty much nowhere.
Trevor doesn't actually want to be helped, your efforts would be in vain no matter what. Don't put so much of yourself out there to someone like that. He will not repay your efforts.
Your emotions pull you to try and help everyone, but in some cases, you cannot. And it will only frustrate you the more you try.
Trevor will have decide whether or not he actually wants to be a hero or someone just pretending in a futile attempt to make himself feel better about who he is.
You can't make that decision for him.
He may have to lose it all before he can see this for himself.
But until then, let him dig his own grave and not pull you down as well.

Well, however you meant it...I think you're right.
Thanks.

[ He sounds...happy, though? And definitely not complaining. ]
You wanna do something later?

Hey. Do you think I could ever fly?

It's possible.

Would you show me?

[With Jenova]
But I will show you.

I was afraid... But I decided, I'm not gonna be scared anymore.
[ His mind is made up, and that's that. ]
Besides...I always wanted to fly.

And I’ll do you one better than that - I’m getting my life back from the Admiral.
So when we go home? I’m going home alive.

Having fought both of you, only one came out victorious.
Correct me if I'm wrong, it wasn't you right?
