Zack is frustrated.
It's a net positive that the Lyfeboat came with enough supplies to last them a few weeks. Sephiroth, Zeke, and he all made it off the Barge safely too, which is also a plus. They've seen some pretty neat things out here on the open sea as well.
He's still worried sick about everyone else, though.
It's obvious from the way he broods at night when they set up camp and doesn't try to talk much. He just pokes at the fire nd plays half-heartedly with his puppy. He doesn't really know what else to do.

Sephiroth finds the change of scenery interesting, but it doesn't make this any better than the barge. Just a different kind of annoying. Though at least he doesn't have to deal with some of the others who are extra irritating.

Zack has been searching the boat high and low for his people. Being out of commission for so long has made him intensely worried about everyone else, which is why finding them is his first priority.
It’s also why Sephiroth won’t get hardly any warning when a Zack-shaped blur comes running up to him to give him a great, big hug.

Zack is lucky if Sephiroth doesn't get knocked completely over as Zack currently has the strength that Sephiroth lacks. He also did not expect this at all, and it came far too fast for him to do anything about it.

((I rolled dice for seeing how he did at the start of the fight, the middle, and then the end. I got a 7, 16, and a 2. So... fumbled at the start, managed to catch up and give a solid fight, and just wiped out at the end. RIP
Rolled one more to see how well his endurance held up and got a 16, so hey! At least there's that.))

[It was ... good to fight again. Really fight. He's had some battles off and on with a few others (Adrian, Trevor), but nothing is quite the same. Sure the two of them aren't at their full strength, but that doesn't matter. Fighting Cloud on a one-on-one level playing field is actually what he prefers.
