[He'd have to go out pretty far to get that deep. Even following Cloud, it's not even close to his chest.]

I'm sure something is lurking in the deep.

[He lets out a 'hmpth' before moving a hand through the water in order to send it right into Cloud. Not in any sort of playful or teasing manner, not in the slightest.]

[chocobohaired]

Yeah. You are.

[ Well, maybe not in the deep, but...

His thoughts are interrupted when when Sephiroth suddenly splashes water at him. He raises an eyebrow. Is Sephiroth being... playful? Well then. Cloud smirks and sends a wave of water right back at him. ]

[sefirot]

[He's totally not being playful, it was an aggressive action which Cloud has now returned. But because Sephiroth is a complete asshole, he lifts a hand to cast a low form of blizzard around where Cloud is standing in the water. Just to freeze him a little.]

[chocobohaired]

[ Cloud stares at Sephiroth for a moment, not sure if he should laugh or get mad. Luckily, thanks to growing up in the cold mountains of Nibelheim, he's fairly used to the cold and isn't easily fazed by it.

All the same, he kind of wishes his materia wasn't with his bike which is parked on the beach. Of course Sephiroth doesn't even need materia to cast...

Instead he moves out of the cold spot and full on splashes water straight into Sephiroth's face. ]

[How dare he. Sephiroth gets splashed directly in the face looking like an aggravated cat as a result. An aggravated wet cat with the way his bangs are now covered in water.

He raises a hand again. If Cloud does nothing to stop him he's going to freeze the younger man fully into the water. Because he's petty like that.]

[chocobohaired]

[ Cloud snorts at the sight of Sephiroth like that. He looks so pissed, but it's hard to take seriously when he's dressed in swim shorts and with wet bangs hanging in front of his face.

When Sephiroth lifts his hand, Cloud suspects he's going to do something again, and so he dives out of the way. ]

[sefirot]

[Well, that's disappointing. He was hoping to turn Cloud into an icicle like he deserves for splashing him in the face. So he's going to to cast it again. More determined this time.]

Stop running from the inevitable, Cloud.

[chocobohaired]

[ Cloud continues to evade the ice spells, very much wishing he too could use magic without materia so he could set Sephiroth's hair on fire or something. ]

Stop being an asshole, Sephiroth!

[sefirot]

[He stops with his hand raised in mid-air to look at Cloud with what clearly is a smirk.]

I thought the purpose of this exertion was to have fun. This is somewhat enjoyable.

[Harassing Cloud that is.]

[chocobohaired]

[ Cloud rolls his eyes. As long as it keeps from Sephiroth from harming innocents, Cloud can deal with it, but it's still annoying. ]

Of course you'd say that. Not really fair though, is it?

[sefirot]

Are you admitting to being weak, Cloud? Surely you still have some strength left within you.

[If they weren't both in the water he'd cast thunder and see what happens. But Sephiroth is not that foolish, even if he's resistant to most things.

He does, however, look like he's totally going to start casting blizzard again.]

[chocobohaired]

Weak? No. Tired of your shit? Yes.

[ The hour is probably up soon, and he'll have to consider this attempt a failure. Unless Sephiroth decides that trying to freeze him to the spot is amusing enough to consider beach going to be an enjoyable experience. ]

[sefirot]

Then do something about it.

[Sephiroth is totally and not even denying it at this point, trying to egg Cloud into a fight. It probably won't work and Sephiroth will end up being disappointed. But he's trying.]

[chocobohaired]

Not here. I told you, we can sparr later, but I'm not doing it where we could hurt other people.

[ That and well, he's currently unarmed and without any materia to help him out. And he's in only swim trunks. ]

[sefirot]

Fine, Cloud. But we will cross blades later.

[He moves deeper through the water, to a point where Cloud would have more difficulty staying above without swimming. And he's just going to go under. For what will probably be a long period of time.]
